Finance Assistant
Reporting to: Managing Director and Finance Manager.
Salary scale £24,480 – £30,680
Part Time position – Hours and Days negotiable dependant upon company needs.
One to One Support Services Ltd is at the cutting edge of domiciliary care and training in health and social care covering the East Midlands. Due to a vacancy in the department we are seeking to employ a Finance Assistant.
The role will include general company financial administration with the main task being invoicing and being responsible for the professional running of the department in the absence of the Finance Manager/ Assistant. Additional tasks will involve developing and monitoring budgets for the different department and projects within the company.
Key Responsibilities
1.Raising Client/Customer monthly invoices, accurately and efficiently.
- Tracking Finance sheets, Purchase Orders, Contracts and other supporting documents where necessary.
- Credit Control, chasing of overdue invoices and updating the accounting programme used by the company, this also includes building good working relationships with external partners, by telephone, email and potentially in person meetings.
- Taking overdue invoices to the next required level of recovery, i.e. small claims court, following direction from Finance Manager/Managing Director.
- Maintenance of the Company Mobile Phone network, including tracking of bills, updating databases for the phone network.
- Petty Cash reconciliation & processing of cash payments for DBS checks
- Keeping accurate financial records and preparing reports as required by the Finance Manager and Managing Director.
- Reporting of any irregularities discovered during the course of work to the Finance Manager.
- Budgets and Forecasts – Tracking budget spending for review by the Finance Manager.
- To arrange travel & hotel accommodation arrangements, once authorised by the Finance Manager/Managing Director.
- Answering telephones and greeting visitors to the company buildings in line with company procedures.
- To carry out other duties consistent with the nature and grade of the post, taking full responsibility of the smooth running and efficiency of the department and its staff in the absence of the Finance Manager/Assistant Manager.
- Ensure all objectives are delivered with an awareness of good practice, so that a high quality service can be maintained.

Our services work with vulnerable people and it is therefore essential that our staff cooperate fully with all monitoring procedures.
- To ensure the safety of data and personal details of employees and customers in regard to financial details inline with company GDPR policy.
- To be proactive and creative in the future development of the finance department in line with instruction from the managing director. To attend meetings and training as deemed necessary.
- To adhere strictly to the confidentiality agreements of the company and all data protection regulations with regard to clients and the company’s needs.
