Salary: 43,680 – £46,800
Based: Some office base work in chesterfield at head office and some work out in the field over seeing support workers and clients.
Hours/Days: Negotiable (subject to business needs).
Purpose
- To oversee the Registered General Nurses and ensure safeguards are in place to deliver high-quality care for clients.
- To be responsible for key inspections internal and external, carrying out observations and leading on any RGN / medical activity for the company. Under the regulated activity treatment of disease, disorder or injury.
Key Responsibilities
The applicant will manage Nurses and the regulated activity for the company and ensure high quality care is provided to clients. Key roles for the Clinical Lead are as follows but please note this list is not exhaust;
- To carry out a full range of registered nurse duties, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient’s condition and care with support from the staff members in service delivery.
- To show compassion, treating our patients maintaining their privacy, dignity and being respectful at all times.
- To demonstrate procedures, train and supervise any staff undertaking care/ nurse training and duties. Observations and sig offs of competency
- Safeguarding the health and wellbeing of children and vulnerable adults by completing the relevant training and following the companies’ policies in order to deal with any safeguarding concerns that may arise. To record and report to their Line Manager and Managing Director any Safeguarding issues or concerns that may arise.
- To act professional at all times, maintaining an awareness of good practice, so that a high Quality and responsive services can be maintained and in accordance with training.
- To be able to prioritise nursing care, recognise deterioration, changes, reactions, conduct physical exams to assess patient / any other concerns in patients’ conditions and alert senior staff / health care professionals immediately.
- Performing wound care, ensuring any wounds are cleaned, and dressed as required along with any other medical requirements /treatments. Ability to comply with infection control policies and procedures
- Taking patients temperatures, blood pressure, blood samples, setting up drips and blood transfusions if required.
- Prescribing assistive medical devices, any related treatments, adjusting and administering medications as and when required.
- Handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Creating personalised treatment plans for patients with care delivery staff and other relevant healthcare professionals.
- Ensuring the working area is safe, hygienic and sanitized, wearing appropriate PPE requirements and uniform.
- Being able to deliver emergency care as and when needed, dealing with incidents appropriately and in line with the companies’ policies and procedures.
- Ensuring any care staff, seniors, managers, family, and other health care professionals are informed at all times and any compliant healthcare records and reports are completed / kept up to date at all times.
- Educate patients, family and relevant care professionals about their medical conditions and treatment plans.
- To comply with One to One Support Services policies and procedures, whilst actively promoting the principles of equal opportunities and working in a manner that maintains a safe, healthy and supportive environment for staff and service users at all times. Our services work with vulnerable people and it is therefore essential that our staff cooperate fully with all monitoring procedures.
- To attend service review meetings, cluster meetings, additional health care meetings and provide service review information when required. To attend regular staff meetings, supervisions and training as required. The essential courses and knowledge set as set out in the person spec must be undertaken and kept up to date as per company requirements. Different courses and knowledge sets have different thresholds of expiry.
- To maintain and keep up to date with their personal development plan and participate in essential training to keep up to date with their own learning knowledge and skills to provide high quality care to clients.
- Promote good team working and ensure effective communication is being used to provide high quality services are being delivered.

- To ensure the company is inspection ready at all times and put strategies in places for continuous improvement.
22.Attend SAMS meetings and any other external meetings needed to represent the company. To provide reports, presentations and updates as required.
- To oversee the other RGN’s, provide supervision, guidance, and ensure they have any training requirements fulfilled at all times. To ensure there is always clinical oversight for the services being delivered
- Work with the Managing Director and other department managers to oversee the operational and strategic aspects.
Act in accordance with the relevant registration body, maintain effective NMC registration and revalidation, ensuring professional portfolios are kept and updated in accordance with NMC guidelines.
