Tissue Viability

This course covers the identification of a range of skin conditions and includes a section on pressure area care and how to support people who require treatment of skin conditions. Learners will benefit from having knowledge of wound assessment and an understanding of causes, stages, treatment and risk factors associated with a clients user with a wound. The Tissue Viability Course is aimed at staff currently working within the health care sector.

  • Dressing, Wounds and Pressure Relieving Equipment
  • Types of Wounds
  • What is a pressure ulcer?
  • Structure of the skin
  • Functions of the skin

How long is the course?

The course is half a day, running 13:00 pm - 16:30 pm

Where is the course held?
The courses are run at our Training Academy which is 10 Minutes away from Chesterfield town centre and has regular bus routes every 10 minutes and there is plenty of parking available.
