We are looking to recruit a Senior Support Worker who has British Sign Language in Sheffield.

Purpose

  • To provide a customised, responsive and high-quality service for children, adults and elderly people who may have sensory impairments, health, and/or learning disabilities or additional needs. Enable the client opportunities to access learning and leisure opportunities in a variety of settings, within the local community.
  • To support the aims and objectives of One to One Support Services and assist the Service Manager in the organisation of a high-quality support services
  • To support the Service Manager with the organisation of services that will empower the individual to live as independently as possible with appropriate levels of intervention/support.
  • Providing administrative support for the Service Manager, this will include, convening and taking minutes of meetings, writing up notes and reports, distribution of correspondence, information and filing. This will also include obtaining monthly information from staff, service users and other agencies.
  • Support the Service Manager with standard correspondence including recruitment and interviews.


The ideal candidate should have knowledge and experience in either supporting children, adults and older persons in their homes and communities. Also assisting the Service Manager in the organisation of high-quality support services.


Providing administrative support for the Service Manager, this will include:

  • Convening and taking minutes of meetings
  • Writing up notes and reports
  • Distribution of correspondence
  • Information and filing

Successful candidates will hold qualifications such as NVQ 2 or 3 equivalents in Health and Social Care or Childcare. It is essential that you are able to travel from A to B supporting individuals, so a full driving license and access to a vehicle is required. It is also essential to have at least a Level 2 in British Sign Language.

One to One Support Services provides a full range of support services to all people, specialising in services for people with additional needs, complex needs, and sensory impairments. Individuals may be required to support with personal care, communication, mobility, access to information or help attending appointments as well as daily living tasks in and around the house.

    A Full DBS check is required, employee pays cost initially.
