An exciting opportunity to join the growing training team at One to One is now available. We are seeking to recruit an experienced Health and Social Care Tutor/Assessor. 

The role will include assessing staff and learners against qualification standards, delivering training sessions to support knowledge and understanding, and delivering Health Care awareness courses to our wider customer base. Additional tasks will involve designing and producing lesson plans and short courses. Additional tasks will involve designing and producing lesson plans and short courses.

Essential Skills

  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, ideally in Health and Social Care
  • Qualified to D32/33 or A1/A2/TAQA 
  • An understanding of communication barriers that may be presented and how to overcome them 
  • Familiar with vocational qualifications/QCF Framework 
  • Experience of working in a Health and Social Care environment 
  • Ability to design lesson plans/teaching materials/short courses related to care qualification units
  • Experience of delivery to an audience 
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills at all levels
  • Ability to demonstrate personal effectiveness, organisation and innovation
  • Good ICT skills to support the role

Desirable Skills

  • Qualifications familiar with City & Guilds qualification centre procedures
  • Familiar with delivering generic short courses (Health and Safety, First Aid, Manual Handling, Food Hygiene)
  • Experience/an understanding of the of the diverse nature of domiciliary care in a community/home environment
  • Experience of delivery to an audience

    A Full DBS check is required, employee pays cost initially.
