Lorna Quirke

I have been working in the care industry for about a year and a half.  It was not something I ever thought about doing, however, I was made redundant and looking for work whilst under the job centre. I was approached by a job agency and asked if I had ever considered a job in care as a home care worker.  My main employment history has been around customer service, office admin, HR, secretarial, and reception work so I was a little out of my comfort zone!

I decided to give it a try and after 2 weeks of hating it I ended up loving it!  After 6 months in the field as a support worker, I was approached to step up into a coordinator role which I adapted to well.

In April this year, I tuped over to One to One and am currently the service manager for the Sheffield F2 contract.  I love a challenge and I hope my hard work and my passion for making a difference in other people‚Äôs lives makes a positive impact on the team here.
